abstract | (57) Abstract: A 6-pyridylmethyl-1,4-benzoquinone derivative, which is useful in the field of medicine as a thromboxane A 2 synthase inhibitor, an anticancer agent, an agent for improving mosquitoes, etc., is produced in high yield. An industrially advantageous method and a novel intermediate useful therefor are provided. SOLUTION: Formula (I): [In the formula, R 1 and R 2 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, a C 1-6 alkyl group or a C 1-6 alkoxy group, or R 1 and R 2 are bonded to each other to form R 1 and R 2 . -CH = CH- CH = CH-, R 3 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-6 alkyl group, and R 4 represents a protecting group] -Lithiated at the 6-position of the hydroquinone derivative to form R 5 -CH A compound represented by the formula O [R 5 represents a pyridyl group which may have a substituent] [Wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are the same as above], and a method for producing a salt thereof, and a compound (I I). |
