abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a heat-sensitive recording material excellent in heat resistance of a recorded image portion and background color (unrecorded portion) and plasticizer resistance. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material is provided with a recording layer containing, as a main component, a colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a developer that reacts with the dye precursor to develop a color, on a support. The colorant is at least one compound represented by the following general formula (1), and the recording layer contains at least one methylolated fatty acid amide represented by the following general formula (2). Embedded image (Wherein, X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; Is an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl group, naphthyl group, aralkyl group, lower alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, or 2 to 6 carbon atoms. Represents a lower alkenyl group. Z represents a lower alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an electron-withdrawing group. n represents an integer of 0 to 4, and p represents an integer of 1 to 5.
