abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a device for removing harmful substances in gas, particularly, corrosive components, irritating components, malodorous components, oxidizable harmful substances such as preservation inhibitors for fruits and vegetables. An apparatus for removing harmful substances in a gas, comprising an ultraviolet irradiation mechanism, a photocatalytic decomposition mechanism of harmful substances, and an ozone treatment mechanism. [Effect] It is possible to almost completely remove harmful substances in gas, particularly corrosive components, irritating components, malodorous components, and substances inhibiting preservation of fruits and vegetables. Not only effective as a household or consumer deodorizer, but also extremely useful as an industrial air purifier such as a semiconductor factory.
