abstract (57) [Summary] [Subject] To provide a novel bacterial wilt antagonist having antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas solanacerum, which is a pathogen of bacterial wilt disease, extracted from leaves of solanaceous plants such as tomatoes. . SOLUTION: The residue obtained after defatting any part of a Solanaceae plant (fruit, leaf, flower, etc.) with an organic solvent such as dichloromethane is extracted with a hydrophilic organic solvent such as methanol to obtain the Solanaceae plant extract obtained. The product is used as an active ingredient of the bacterial wilt antagonist of the present invention.
