SOLUTION: The following reaction formula: A sorbitol oxidase characterized by a physicochemical property that catalyzes the reaction shown in 1) and has a substrate specificity for D-sorbitol and does not substantially act on D-glucose, A method for producing the sorbitol oxidase by the sorbitol oxidase-producing bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces, and a D-sorbitol measuring composition comprising the sorbitol oxidase. [Effect] It is possible to provide a novel method for producing sorbitol oxidase and a sorbitol oxidase by a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces, and it was possible to provide a composition for measuring D-sorbitol using the enzyme. |
