(57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing a silyl enol ether, which can be performed at a low cost and a high yield by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A carbonyl compound capable of forming an enol and a compound represented by the formula: (R 1 ) 3 SiCl [I] [wherein each R 1 is independently an alkyl group or an aryl group. ] The method for producing a silyl enol ether, which comprises the step of reacting the chlorosilane represented by the formula [1] with an aprotic polar solvent in the presence of a metal catalyst selected from the group consisting of magnesium, aluminum and zinc. |
