abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing a calcium carbonate slurry that has low viscosity even if the solid content is high and is easy to handle. SOLUTION: Based on the total amount of all the constituent monomer units, 50 to 100 repeating units based on an acrylate salt are used. A calcium carbonate slurry containing the water-soluble polymer (A) in an amount of wt% was added as a dispersant, and a repeating unit based on a maleate salt and / or an itaconic acid salt was further added based on the total amount of all the constituent monomer units. A method for producing a low-viscosity calcium carbonate slurry, which comprises adding 60 to 90% by weight of a water-soluble polymer (B).
