[Structure] Color recording can be performed on a recording material 6 by repeating movement scanning of a recording head 1 having a plurality of ink ejection port arrays 12, 13, 14, 15 for ejecting inks of different colors and sheet feeding. Ink jet recording apparatus, the ink ejection port array 1 for one color is moved during the preceding moving scan. The ink is ejected from the ink-jet recording medium 5, and the ink ejection port arrays 12 and 1 of the other color are printed during the moving scanning of the next row with respect to the recording region. Recording by ejecting ink from Nos. 3 and 14 is superimposed.
