abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] An object of the present invention is to provide a lighting device in which the practicality of an electrodeless discharge lamp is improved by improving the efficiency and cost efficiency of the fixture. Structure: An electrodeless discharge lamp 9 filled with a rare gas and a metal compound that evaporates, dissociates, condenses metal particles and emits incandescent light by applying a high-frequency electromagnetic field, for example. The discharge lamp 9 and a spheroidal reflection mirror 11 having the discharge lamp 9 as a primary focal point are included, and a light emission is formed by penetrating a wall surface corresponding to the secondary focal point of the spheroidal reflection mirror 11 or in the vicinity thereof. An illuminating device comprising: a cavity resonator (10) having a path (12); and a high frequency electromagnetic field supply mechanism (13) for supplying a required high frequency electromagnetic field into the cavity resonator (10). |
