abstract | An imaging element having good print quality and involving ergonomic processing. SOLUTION: On the hydrophilic surface of the support, in the order described, (I) an image receiving layer containing physical development nuclei, (ii) a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion in a water-permeable relationship with the image receiving layer, and (iii) between the image receiving layer and the photosensitive layer. An imaging element having an intermediate layer of, said intermediate layer comprising particles of an alkali insoluble polymeric organic compound obtainable by polycondensation, said particles having a number average size of 0.02 μm to 10 μm. An image-forming element comprising: an image-forming element; and a method for producing an offset printing plate by a silver salt diffusion transfer method using the image-forming element. |
