titleOfInvention | Method for producing resin particles having narrow particle size distribution and powder coating thereof |
abstract | (57) An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing resin particles having a narrow particle size distribution, which are particularly used as materials for powder coating materials, electrophotographic toners and diagnostic agent carriers. SOLUTION: (a) A liquid component forming resin particles by solidification has a number average particle diameter of 10 in an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble polymer which is insolubilized by pH change as a stabilizer. suspending as oil droplets having a primary particle size of not more than μm, (b) Adjusting the pH of the resulting suspension to a value at which the water-soluble polymer becomes insoluble, thereby aggregating and fusing the oil droplets into secondary particles having a number average particle diameter of about 2 to 20 times that of the oil droplets; (C) A step of solidifying the oil droplet secondary particles in the suspension into resin particles during or after the step (b). |
