abstract (57) Abstract: A Raney copper catalyst containing Ni, Mo having high catalytic activity and capable of producing an aminocarboxylic acid salt from an amino alcohol with high selectivity. SOLUTION: A Ni-Al alloy melt and a separately prepared Ni-Al alloy and Mo-Al alloy are added and melted to alloy these metals, and Al is eluted from this to dissolve N. An i, Mo-containing Raney copper catalyst is prepared. Using this catalyst, the amino alcohol of the general formula (1) is oxidatively dehydrogenated in the presence of water and an alkali to produce an aminocarboxylic acid. Embedded image
