abstract (57) 【Abstract】 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accommodate biological samples of various sizes and characteristics without changing the size of the holes of the perforated plate of the embedding cassette consisting of a flat container and a lid plate. Provided is an embedding cassette for a biological sample, which can function as a basket during dewatering, degreasing, clearing, embedding work, and as an embedding support base when slicing with a microtome, from preventing alteration of the sample. SOLUTION: A window hole for supporting a perforated dish is formed in either one of the flat container and the lid, and a support frame is provided on the periphery of the window hole so as to project toward the inside of the flat container, and the support is provided. A brim around the opening of the perforated dish is sandwiched between the frame and the inner surface of the lid plate or between the support frame and the bottom of the flat container.
