abstract |
(57) Abstract: A silver halide emulsion having a photosensitivity-to-granularity ratio and good photographic characteristics and capable of rapid processing is provided. A silver halide grain comprises up to 9 mole% iodide, an AgBr core or an AgBr-I core, a zone of highest iodide fraction having a diameter of at least 10% of the grain radius, and A silver halide emulsion consisting of silver iodobromide in which the halide fraction decreases in a gradient towards the grain surface, which emulsion can be used to make photographic silver halide recording materials. |
