abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] Prevents deterioration due to corrosion of gap chamber members in a temperature control element type vessel with a structure in which the difference between the internal pressure of the main chamber and the internal pressure of the gap chamber is kept small by a pressure equalizer. A safe and stable method for producing a high-quality vinyl chloride polymer is provided. [Structure] Partition plates are arranged side by side at a right angle to the outer surface of the inner cylinder, and an outer strip between the tip ends of the partition plates is straddled, whereby a partition plate is provided between the inner cylinder and the outer strip. A temperature control element having a flow path for the heat medium that is partitioned is formed, and the temperature control element is fixed in the container body with the outer strip side facing the inner surface of the container body with a space therebetween, and the temperature control element is also provided. It has a structure in which the upper and lower parts of the gap between the inner surface of the container body and And, in a tank container in which the gap chamber and the inside of the container body are connected by a pipe via a pressure equalizer, the polymerization reaction of vinyl chloride or a mixture of copolymerizable monomers mainly containing vinyl chloride in an aqueous medium.
