titleOfInvention Protein-containing solution and method for producing the same
abstract (57) Abstract: A protein which can be obtained in a simple process without denaturing the protein and in a high yield, and which is free from thermal denaturation of the protein when the solvent is removed when used for various purposes. A containing solution and a method for producing the same are provided. A protein-containing solution obtained by immersing a keratin-containing material in an alcohol-containing solution having 3 carbon atoms to extract a protein contained in the keratin-containing material. This protein-containing solution contains keratin-containing material with 3 carbon atoms. Of the keratin-containing material is solubilized and extracted by immersing it in an alcohol-containing solution of, and then heating it at a temperature not higher than the boiling point of the alcohol-containing solution, and then extracting the protein from the insoluble residue. Obtained by separating.
