titleOfInvention | Inverse photochromic compound, reversible recording medium using the same, and reversible recording method |
abstract | (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To obtain an inverse photochromic compound having excellent contrast between color development and color erasure, and also excellent reversibility of reversible color development / decolorization and light resistance. SOLUTION: 1,3,3-trimethyl-5-bromo-6,7-benzo -2-Methyleneindoline (2.0 g, 6.6 mmol) and 3,5-dinitrosalicylaldehyde (1.4 g, 6.6 mmol) are heated under reflux in 55 ml of ethanol for 3 hours to obtain a spiropyran derivative. For example, this spiropyran derivative is dispersed in butyral resin so as to have a concentration of 5 wt%, and by using this, a recording layer 2 is formed on a sheet-like support 1 made of polyethylene terephthalate, and is formed on the recording layer 2. When a protective layer 3 is formed by forming a film of polyvinyl butyral and converting this to an isocyanate to obtain a recording medium, the recording medium becomes a reversible recording medium in which recording is performed by heat and disappears by visible light. In addition, the recording retentivity and repeatability are excellent. |
