abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for deodorizing an odor component of a sulfur-based compound by using a strong oxidant-based deodorant capable of coexisting with a metal salt. [Structure] An odor source containing hydrogen sulfide and a sulfur-based compound such as methyl mercaptan as an odor component, and a bromate such as sodium bromate and a chlorine-free metal salt such as zinc sulfate are added. It is a deodorizing method that can be used for deodorizing various sludges.
