titleOfInvention Alkaline secondary battery
abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] An improved conductive agent made of conductive carbonaceous powder is provided with a negative electrode that holds an appropriate amount of alkaline electrolyte, and internal pressure characteristics during overcharge and charge / discharge cycle life are improved. It is an object of the present invention to provide a rechargeable alkaline secondary battery. In an alkaline secondary battery including a positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 4 containing a negative electrode active material and a conductive agent, a separator 3 interposed between the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 4, and an alkaline electrolyte. The conductive agent of the negative electrode 4 is a conductive carbonaceous powder having a layer made of a water-repellent substance on the surface.
