abstract (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing an alkaline secondary battery in which the utilization factor of the positive electrode is improved by improving the positive electrode. In a method of manufacturing an alkaline secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an alkaline electrolyte, the positive electrode includes nickel compound particles and a conductive material. The method comprises the steps of filling a current collector with a paste containing a cobalt compound and one or more selected from metallic cobalt as an agent, and charging the current collector filled with the paste in a heated alkaline aqueous solution. It is characterized by being manufactured by a method.
