abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a shape memory silk fiber. SOLUTION: A certain amount of a monomer having a specific monoethylenically unsaturated group is grafted on a cocoon from which pupae have been removed in advance, thereby fixing the "∞" shape peculiar to silk and causing the shape to be memorized. Thus, a silk fiber having a silky texture and a high air retention ability can be obtained.
