(57) Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing chlorotrifluoroethylene and trifluoroethylene in which stability of a catalyst composition is substantially improved. SOLUTION: Chlorotrifluoroethylene and trifluoroethylene are produced by reacting 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane and hydrogen in a gas phase in the presence of a catalyst composition. Wherein the catalyst composition comprises from about 12 to about total weight of the catalyst composition. 22% by weight of copper and at least one VIII of the Periodic Table of the Elements The above-mentioned manufacturing method, which comprises a carbon-based carrier carrying a group metal. |
