abstract | (57) Abstract: In a composite nickel hydroxide particle having a cobalt-based coating formed on the surface of nickel hydroxide particles, it is possible to suppress or prevent the oxidation of metallic cobalt or cobalt compound during storage, and It is an object of the present invention to provide an alkaline storage battery capable of exhibiting the characteristics and improving the utilization rate of the positive electrode using the composite nickel hydroxide particles as an active material. In an alkaline storage battery including a positive electrode having a structure in which a paste containing a positive electrode active material is filled in a metal porous body, a negative electrode, and an alkaline electrolyte, the positive electrode active material is oxidized on the surface of nickel hydroxide particles. The composite nickel hydroxide particles are characterized by comprising an inhibitor and forming a cobalt-based coating film of at least one selected from metallic cobalt and a cobalt compound. |
