[Structure] A dextrorotatory (+)-( S ) -1 comprising reducing acetylferrocene using a strain of Candida yeast, Saccharomyces yeast or Nocardia bacterium. -Method for producing hydroxyethylferrocene. [Effect] An optically pure ( S ) -enantiomer can be obtained.
