(57) [Summary] [Structure] Indigo-producing microorganisms or treated products thereof are allowed to act on an aqueous solution containing indole to produce and accumulate indigo in the aqueous solution, and indigo is produced from the aqueous solution. And a method of adding an oxidizing agent to the aqueous solution. [Effect] Indigo can be efficiently produced by the enzymatic method. |
