titleOfInvention Chip inductor
abstract (57) An object of the present invention is to provide a chip inductor in which a winding end is welded to a contact element and which can be automatically mounted in a cycle time of 1 second or less. SOLUTION: A solid core part 4 made of a ferromagnetic or non-conductive material can be wound in single or multiple turns, and has a winding gap 5 retracted from parallel end faces 8 of the core part 4. The winding end portion 9 is fixed to the contact element 2 arranged on the end face side by indirect laser welding. The contact element 2 has a soft solder coating. Furthermore, this contact element 2 has recesses provided as winding start and winding end portions, and at the same time is used as a shielding material and a welding material during indirect laser welding.
