titleOfInvention | Method of making a lithographic printing plate having an imaging element containing a photosensitive acid precursor |
abstract | (57) Abstract: To provide an excellent lithographic printing plate by a dry developing method. SOLUTION: (a) On a hydrophilic surface of a support, (i) Image-wise or information-wise exposure of a photosensitive imaging element comprising a hydrophobic photosensitive layer comprising a photosensitive acid precursor and (ii) a hydrophobic polymeric binder adjacent to said hydrophilic surface; and (b) said exposure. Imaged imaging element (i) laminating the top layer of said imaging element to an image receiving layer before or after said exposure; i) peeling off the image-receiving layer from the hydrophilic surface of the support, and thus developing the hydrophobic photosensitive composition by pattern-wise transferring to the image-receiving layer, wherein the hydrophobic photosensitive layer is a photosensitive acid precursor. As a nonionic photosensitive precursor of sulfonic acid, or as a nonionic photosensitive precursor of optionally partially esterified phosphonic acid, or as a nonionic photosensitive precursor of optionally partially esterified phosphoric acid A process for obtaining a lithographic printing plate, comprising a sex precursor, the latter phosphonic acid or phosphoric acid precursor being included in the absence of an acid-sensitive composition of a low molecular weight compound. |
