abstract (57) Abstract: A method for producing hydrogen-containing methylchlorosilane by cleaving disilane with hydrogen chloride in the presence of a catalyst is provided. SOLUTION: To produce hydrogen-containing methylchlorosilane, disilane is added to A) palladium (0) and platinum (0) and B) tertiary amine, carboxylic acid amide, alkylurea, tertiary phosphine, phosphoric acid amide, A process for producing hydrogen-containing methylchlorosilane, which comprises reacting with hydrogen chloride in the presence of a catalyst comprising an organic compound selected from quaternary ammonium halide, quaternary phosphonium halide or a mixture thereof. [Effect] Hydrogen-containing methylchlorosilane is produced in high yield.
