abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] A two-component developer containing a toner and a carrier. The toner contains toner particles, and the toner particles contain a fixing resin and a magnetic powder in a predetermined ratio. The fixing resin is composed of (1) a polymer having an anionic polar group and having a wax grafted portion, and (2) a polymer having an anionic polar group and a wax grafted portion. It is a composition containing at least one of the compositions comprising coalescence. The carrier particles have a core particle made of a specific magnetic material having a concave portion on the surface and a coating layer for coating the same, and the coating layer contains a thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin, and at least the concave portion of the core particle is provided. Fill and cover 0.1 to 60% of the surface area. [Effect] A two-component developer containing no charge control agent is provided. This developer does not scatter toner, is excellent in charging property and transfer efficiency, and a copy image of required density can be stably obtained for a long time. It is also excellent in fixing the transferred image.
