abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a method for chemically sensitizing a high-sensitivity silver halide photographic emulsion with less fog and a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material. Provided is a chemical sensitization method of a silver halide photographic emulsion with high sensitivity, which is suitable for rapid processing and has little fog, and a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material. In a method for chemically sensitizing a substantially water-insoluble selenium compound in the form of a dispersion to a silver halide photographic emulsion, the selenium compound is added to a substantially water-incompatible low-boiling organic solvent.
