abstract (57) [Abstract] [Object] To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately irradiating light emitted from a light emitting diode element array onto a surface of a photoconductor through a lens to form a latent image with high image quality on the photoconductor. Especially. [Structure] A base plate 1 on which a large number of light emitting diode element arrays 2 are linearly arranged and mounted, and a plurality of lenses 3 with a spacer 4 interposed therebetween, each lens 3 and each light emitting diode element array 2 forming a pair. In the image forming apparatus fixed side by side so as to correspond to No. 1, a transparent cover member 5 whose outer surface side contacts the photoconductor P is arranged outside the lens 3.
