(57) [Abstract] [Objective] The present invention is for assaying taxol, 10-deacetylbaccatin III (DAB) or a homolog thereof, which may be either a plant source or a biotechnological source, Moreover, it aims at providing the method of isolating. A method of using plant- or biotechnology-derived taxol, 10-deacetylbaccatin III, using a polyclonal IgY antibody produced from hen's egg yolk immunized with succinyl-taxol and bovine albumin-conjugated succinyl-DAB. Alternatively, their homologues are assayed and isolated. For example, in order to selectively separate the above taxanes from a plant extract, a cell, or a microbial culture medium, these antibodies are immobilized on a matrix, and taxol, 10-deacetylbacca, which is an antigen, is subjected to immunoaffinity chromatography. Tin III or its homologues are isolated in high yield and high purity. |
