Biological method for removing traces of dihalo acids from aqueous solutions of amino acids |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To remove trace amounts of dihalocarboxylic acids or their salts from aqueous solutions of amino acids or amino acid derivatives. [Structure] At least 20 amino acids or amino acid derivatives % By weight and 1000 ppm of dihalocarboxylic acid or salt thereof From about 1 to 100 ppm of a microorganism containing an enzyme specific for dihalocarboxylic acid or a salt thereof, from an aqueous solution containing less than (by weight), preferably less than 200 ppm. A process for removing traces of dihalocarboxylic acids by direct treatment (by weight), preferably about 10-50 ppm. |
