titleOfInvention Slender medical device and lead
abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To improve the slip characteristics of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces by reducing the adhesiveness of the silicon tube that constitutes the lead used for implantation in the tissue of the heart. A lead having an electrode of a flexible type used for implantation in a tissue of a heart, and an electrode head including a spiral for fixing when implanting in a tissue of a body. The spiraling or rotating action of the electrode head is constrained by a twisted elongated electrical coil conductor to be carried out in a silicon tube which extends from the proximal end to the distal end of the coil through a lead. In order to transmit torque with high efficiency, the silicon tube has improved slip characteristics on the inner peripheral surface by electric discharge treatment.
