abstract | (57) [Summary]nProvided are acaricidal compositions for controlling female and male spidermite populations, whether susceptible or resistant, and larvae or adults. This acaricidal composition is used for enhancing the toxic effect of selected acaricides, including acaricides selected from the group consisting of organic tin, organic phosphate, diamide, sulfite, macrocyclic lactone, elemental sulfur and combinations thereof. Includes an effective amount of a sesquiterpene compound selected from the group consisting of sesquiterpene alcohols, analogs thereof, and combinations thereof. Preferably, the effective amount of the sesquiterpene compound is about 300 to about 1000 ppm in the composition, provided that the effective amount of the sesquiterpene compound is about 500 to about 1000 ppm in the composition when the acaricide is elemental sulfur. . The sesquiterpene compound is preferably a sesquiterpene alcohol, more preferably the sesquiterpene alcohol is selected from the group consisting of farnesol, nerolidol and combinations thereof. |
