titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for manufacturing optical panel and optical panel thereof |
abstract | (57) [Summary] A method for manufacturing an optical panel is disclosed, which comprises a plate-shaped or thin plate-shaped carrier having an optical fiber that terminates according to a specific pattern therein. The optical fiber (4) obtained from the fiber supplier is positioned by the pattern plate (5) according to the above pattern. The optical fiber (4) located on the side of the pattern plate (5) remote from the fiber supply (21) forms a carrier in which the fiber is surrounded by a layer of moldable or injection moldable material (3). It is introduced into the mold (1) so as to obtain. The fibers (4) are held in a desired position on the upper surface of the carrier formed in the mold (1) and the fiber ends are grouped together and deflected out of the mold (1). The material is then cured to such an extent that the optical fiber (4) exiting the carrier surface oriented towards the positioning means (5) maintains its orientation substantially perpendicular to said carrier surface, and then the carrier The exiting fiber (4) is cut near the plane of the carrier in the mold (1) oriented towards the positioning means (5). |
