(57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to the conversion of a substrate S to a product P, which provides a method for selecting or detecting non-enzymatic catalytic polypeptides or proteins, which method comprises depositing a potentially catalytic sample on a support. This is a method in which the immobilized product S obtained by contacting with the immobilized substrate S is preferably detected by an immunoassay. This method is preferably used to screen hybridoma supernatants for catalytic monoclonal antibodies that catalyze acyl transfer reactions, such as hydrolysis or aminolysis, condensation reactions and resolution of enantiomers. |
