(57) Abstract: Formula: R'Ind-M- (Cp) Q k (1) [ wherein, Ind is an indenyl group, R 'represents a substituent other than hydrogen to Ind, Cp is a cyclopentadienyl group , M is a transition metal of Group 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the periodic system of elements, Q is a ligand for M and k is an integer bonded to the valency of M]. . The invention is characterized in that the R'group is attached to the Ind group at the 2-position. The indenyl compound is a catalyst for polymerizing olefins. The invention also relates to the polymers obtained with such indenyl compounds. |
