titleOfInvention Liquid crystal light valve with minimal double reflection
abstract (57) [Summary] The reflective liquid crystal light valve device is a tin oxide used as an electrode for electrically adjusting the direction of the molecules of the liquid crystal material 22a that receives the high-intensity read light projected through the transmissive electrode 30a. It includes a transparent conductive layer made of indium 30a. By applying a wide band antireflection coating 70, 72, 74, 76 formed of one pair or a plurality of pairs of two layers having a high refractive index and a low refractive index, the indium tin oxide 30a and the adjacent layers 22a, 32a are provided with a thin film. Undesired double reflections originating from the interface are minimized.
