(57) [Summary] An ion chromatography apparatus and method using a batch type suppressor that is frequently regenerated is provided. Preferably, the suppressor is regenerated after each measurement. Also, the regeneration can be performed before any (50%) exhaustion or based on time (10% to 50% of the measurement time). The suppressor requires only a small amount of ion exchange material, about 5% to 100% of the separation column volume, or 10 to 20 times the ion exchange capacity of the separation column. |
