abstract | (57) [Summary]nProvided is a self-stabilizing resin latex containing a carboxylate salt of post-chlorinated ethylene copolymers having a chlorine content of 20-60% by weight. These ethylene copolymer salts are derived from ethylene / acrylic acid or ethylene / methacrylic acid copolymers containing 4.5-12 mol% of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid copolymerized units. These latices are particularly effective in making resorcinol formaldehyde adhesives. |
