titleOfInvention | Polyol useful for polyurethane foam with improved heat insulation, polyurethane foam produced from the same, and method for producing the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary] Polyurethane foams having improved insulation properties can be produced by using one or more novel polyols. One of the polyols has the general formula (I) {Wherein T is any group that is substantially non-reactive with epichlorohydrin except halogen, Z is an integer from 0 to 8 and Q has the general formula (II).) (Wherein A is N, S or O; L is a covalent bond or a linking group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; I is an integer from 1 to 10; J is 2 Is an integer from 8 to 8; and D is H, L-(((CH 2 CH 2 0) 1 ) H) J , an alkyl or aromatic group, if A is N, or If A is S or O, it is a polyol having an electron pair.)}, Which comprises (1) a monoepoxide and a compound having the general formula (III) (Wherein X is H, Li, Na, K; A is N, S or 0; L is a covalent bond or a bonding group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; M Is any group capable of reacting with ethylene oxide molecules in the presence of a basic catalyst; and J is an integer of 2-8). Other polyols may include (1) mixing ethylene carbonate and one or more hydroxyl functional compounds under reaction conditions sufficient to react the ethylene carbonate and hydroxyl functional compounds to form a polyol precursor. And (2) mixing the polyol precursor with diethylene glycol and acid anhydride, dicarboxylic acid, tricarboxylic acid or a mixture thereof, optionally in the presence of a catalyst, under reaction conditions sufficient to form a polyester polyol.
