(57) [Summary]nThe present invention is a catalyst for the epoxidation of alkenes with alkyl hydroperoxides, wherein the catalyst comprises one or more ions of the metal molybdenum, tungsten, titanium or vanadium on an inorganic support. The present invention relates to a catalyst characterized in that an ion is bound to a carrier via a polydentate organic ligand. The present invention also relates to a method for producing an alkene oxide by epoxidizing an alkene having 3 or more carbon atoms with an alkyl hydroperoxide using the above catalyst. |
