titleOfInvention Dry catalyst system for the decomposition of organic hydroperoxides
abstract (57) Summary An object of the present invention is to provide a method which is a catalytic application. A reaction mixture containing an organic hydroperoxide and an organic solvent is dried so that the dried reaction mixture contains approximately 1% by weight of water, and the dried reaction mixture is subjected to metal-organic decomposition under hydroperoxide decomposition conditions. The organic hydroperoxide is decomposed by contacting with the ligand catalyst. Organic cosolvents for hydroperoxides may also be used. Particularly effective catalysts are cobalt acetylacetonate and ruthenium acetylacetonate and combinations thereof.
