abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] The core was coated with latex to prevent air from flowing into the golf ball core and the rubber strands from unraveling, and a polyurethane cover was formed around it to achieve excellent speed. A golf ball and a method and apparatus for manufacturing the same are provided. A golf ball core 14, which has been subjected to a latex dipping treatment by a dipping device, is transferred to a movable jig and inserted into a first mold portion 51 filled with a certain amount of gelled polyurethane to play golf. A polyurethane cover 80 is formed on one half of the ball core 14. Next, with the golf ball core 14 held, the first mold part 51 is turned upside down, and a certain amount of gel polyurethane is similarly injected into the second mold part 59. Then, the first mold portion 51 and the second The mold parts 59 are fitted together to form an integrated mold. In this state, the mold is moved to the curing chamber, heated to further cure the polyurethane, and then cooled. When the mold is opened in this manner, a golf ball covered with the polyurethane cover 80 is formed.
