abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for removing lignin from a plant material, which can efficiently remove lignin in a short time. According to the method for removing lignin of the present invention, a combination of a treatment step using an enzyme acting on lignin and a washing step with an alkali is used as a unit process, and the unit process is repeated once or more to produce a plant material.
