A magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer on a non-magnetic substrate, wherein the magnetic recording medium has a lubricating layer containing a crown ether compound having an organic group having a molecular skeleton that plays a lubricating role. The recording medium has a good durability because the adsorption phenomenon (sticking) is suppressed. |
