abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] A protective pipe can be easily installed in a pipe excavation hole for an underground pipe. [Structure] A narrow groove 2 extending from a road surface 1 to a depth of a buried pipe is excavated in a pipe route, and a pipe hole excavator 23 is used to excavate a pipe hole 3 in a buried pipe laying track 53 through the groove 2. A protection pipe 4 having an outer diameter smaller than the pipe hole inner diameter and a larger inner diameter than the buried pipe outer diameter is connected to a rear end portion of the carriage 23. The protection pipe 4 travels on the road surface on the narrow groove 2. It was hung from the groove 100 through the groove 100 and moved along with the excavation of the pipe hole 3.
