abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide a solid rocket engine capable of efficient propulsion depending on the flight environment, from the low atmosphere to the high atmosphere where the air is thin and to outer space. [Composition] A combustion chamber 3 loaded with a booster propellant 2 and a booster nozzle 7 for injecting combustion gas generated by combustion of the booster propellant 2 in the combustion chamber 3 are provided, and the combustion chamber 3 from the end of combustion of the booster propellant 2 A gas generator 10 for starting the supply of combustion gas in excess of fuel and an oxidant supply device 20 for starting the supply of the liquid oxidant 22 to the combustion chamber 3 as the air density in the outside decreases. The ram 3 is provided with an air inlet 4 which is opened at the end of combustion of the booster propellant 2 and is closed as the air density in the outside decreases, and a ram for supporting the booster nozzle 7 separably at the end of combustion of the booster propellant 2. A jet nozzle 8 was provided. |
