In a method for producing an ethylene / α-olefin copolymer for copolymerizing ethylene and an α-olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms, the reactor is divided into at least three chambers, and a metallocene catalyst is provided in one chamber above the reactor. To supply a Ziegler-type catalyst to one chamber at the bottom of the reactor, the method for producing an ethylene / α-olefin copolymer.
